Stop Windows Vista from Asking For a Password When Resuming From Hibernation or Sleep

  1. Right-click an empty space on your desktop and then select Personalize.
  2. Click Screen Saver.
  3. Click Change power settings.
  4. Click Change plan settings under the current Power Plan you’re using.
  5. Click Change advanced power settings. Stay with me, we’re almost there.
  6. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable to unlock these settings.
  7. Set Require a password on wakeup to no under Additional settings.

  8. Click OK to save the settings.

Now your computer will go straight to your desktop when it resumes from hibernation or sleep.
