Introduction
If you frequently take screen shots you can set the Snipping Tool to open when keystrokes are selected and take a screen shot. This guide shows you how to set the Snipping Tool to open and take a screen shot when keystrokes are pressed.
Set a Keystroke for the Snipping Tool
- Navigate to Start, All Programs, Accessories, and then right-click Snipping Tool.
- Select Options.
- Click in the Shortcut key box and type a keystroke. I recommend typing Ctrl + Alt + S as your keystrokes.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Now anytime you press Ctrl + Alt + S on your keyboard the Snipping Tool will run and capture a screen shot for you.
