Internet Explorer Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts

There are lots of keyboard and mouse shortcuts you can use to make using Internet Explorer more efficient. This guide shows the most used shortcuts.

Before I Begin

Below is a table that shows you how to use keyboard and mouse shortcuts in Internet Explorer. For those of you who might not know here is an explanation of what the keyboard and mouse shortcuts mean.

When you see Ctrl+Alt+Home that means press the Ctrl key on your keyboard. While you are pressing the Ctrl key press the Alt key on your keyboard. While you are pressing the Ctrl and Alt keys press the Home key on your keyboard.

Got it? Good.

The Shortcuts

Below is a list of keyboard and mouse shortcuts you can use when using Internet Explorer 7. This is not a complete list yet.

Cycle through the Address Bar, Refresh button, Search Box, and items
on a web page

Open the current webpage in a new window CTRL+N
Print the page CTRL+P

Zoom in CTRL+PLUS (+)
Zoom out CTRL+-

Select the Address Bar ALT+D
Add “http://www.” to the beginning and “.com” to the end of text in
Address Bar
CTRL+ENTER
Add “http://www.” to the beginning and “.net” to the end of text in
Address Bar
CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
Add “http://www.” to the beginning and the website address suffix
you have specified to the end of text in the Address Bar
CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
Open the website address that is typed in the Address Bar in new tab ALT+ENTER
View list of previously typed addresses F4
