Internet Explorer 7 AutoComplete
Posted By Brent Trahan On November 6, 2007 @ 10:18 am In All, Internet Explorer, Vista, Windows | No Comments
This guide shows you how to turn AutoComplete features on or off in Internet Explorer 7. AutoComplete features are when IE7 automatically fills in web addresses in the address bar, forms, and user name and passwords on forms based on what you type.
Web Addresses: When you start typing www.go in the address bar IE7 will automatically fill in the rest (www.google.com) for you based on previous website you’ve visited.
Forms: Let’s say you’re filling in your name and address on a form on a website. The forms feature of AutoComplete will detect when you’re typing your name in a name box and fill the rest in for you automatically. This also applies to address, phone number, zip code, and more.
User names and passwords on forms: Saves a user name and password for a website. When you type the first letter of the user name it’ll fill in the rest and fill in the password for you.
Prompt me to save passwords: If you don’t want IE7 to remember you passwords uncheck this option.
Note: AutoComplete may not work on all websites. Websites have the ability to tell IE7 to not use AutoComplete on their site.
