Embed Pictures in MP3 and WMA Files Using Windows Media Player

Introduction

Let’s say you recorded a live performance and you also have a few pictures of that performance. You can take those pictures and embed them inside MP3 and WMA files and have them shown in the now playing section of Windows Media Player while the music plays.

Embedding Pictures

  1. Open Windows Media Player.
  2. Right-click a song you want the picture(s) to show up in the now playing section of WMP when playing and select Advanced Tag Editor.
  3. Click the Pictures tab.

  4. Click the Add button to browse for the picture(s) you want to embed in this file.
  5. Once you’ve added a picture you can set the picture type and type a few notes about the picture.
