Editing Album Info in Windows Media Player

Edit missing or wrong album info in Windows Media Players library.

Introduction

This guide shows you how to edit a CDs Album Name, Artist, Genre, Tracks, Contributing Artist, and Composer data in Windows Media Player.

Edit Album Info

  1. Open Windows Media Player.
  2. Open the Library.
  3. Right-click the album you want to edit’s album cover or a song and click Find Album Info.
  4. Click Edit located on the bottom left of the find album information window.
  5. Edit the albums info and click Next to save the changes.

Hint: If you only need to edit the name of a song click the song one time in the library and click it one more time shortly after (about a 1 second pause). The song title will become highlighted and you should be able to edit it.
