Disable Recent Items in Windows Vista’s Start Menu

Introduction

This guide shows you how to turn off Recent Items in Windows Vista’s start menu.

Turn Recent Items Off

  1. Right-click the Start button and then select Options.
  2. Uncheck Store and display a list of recently opened files under Privacy.
