Stop Recent Items from showing recently opened files in Windows Vista’s start menu.

Introduction

This guide shows you how to turn off Recent Items in Windows Vista’s start menu.

Turn Recent Items Off

  1. Right-click the Start button and then select Options.
  2. Uncheck Store and display a list of recently opened files under Privacy.
