Customize a Menu in Windows DVD Maker

Learn how to customize a menu in Windows DVD Maker.

Once you’ve imported your video files into Windows DVD Maker and pressed Next you can begin setting up the menu that shows when the DVD is played.

Before you can start setting up your menu, you need to select one from the list of menus on the right of Windows DVD Maker.

Note: You can save this project at any time by clicking File next to the Preview button and then click Save or Save as. You can re-open the project later by clicking File in the main Windows DVD Maker window (the same window you used to import the videos in) and then select Open project file.

Menu Text

Once you’ve selected your menu style click Menu text.

Here you can choose the font, disk title, what the play, scenes, and optional notes buttons say, and an optional section to add notes.

Each menu may have slightly different settings. You can preview the menu at any time by clicking Preview.

When you’re finished, click Change Text.

Customize Menu

Click Customize Menu to customize the menu itself.

Here you can change the foreground and background video, menu audio, and scene button styles.

When you’re finished, click Change Style. If you want to re-use this style click Save as new style.
