Introduction
This guide shows you how to change the location Windows Media Player saves ripped CDs. WMP can save ripped CDs in a folder, drive (extra hard drive), or a network location (shared folder on a networked computer).
Change WMPs Ripped Music Location
- Open Windows Media Player.
- Click the down arrow on the very bottom of the Rip tab and then select More Options.
Hint: The down arrow only shows up when you point at the Rip tab.
- Click the Change button.
- Browse to the folder, drive, or network location by clicking the little arrow to the left of each folder or drive to expand it.
Hint: Make sure you’ve navigated inside the folder, drive, or network location you want to save the ripped CDs in before you click OK.
