They can see the problem and figure it out much faster if they can access your computer rather than taking shots in the dark by asking you all kinds of questions.

This guide shows you how to ask for remote assistance which enables someone to view or control your computer remotely.

Warning: Only give people you trust access to your computer with Remote Assistance.

How-to Ask For Remote Assistance Help with a File

1. Click Help and Support in the Start menu.
2. Click the link to use Windows Remote Assistance to get help.

3. Click Invite someone you trust to help you in the Windows Remote Assistance window.

4. Click Save this invitation as a file.

5. Type a password that will be needed to open the invitation and then click Finish.

   The invitation will be saved on your desktop.

Note: Leave the Waiting for incoming connection open. If you close it the invitation to connect to your computer will not work anymore.

Send the invitation file to someone who can help you via e-mail, burn it on a disk, or a USB drive.
