Introduction

One of the first things many computer savvy people notice is the absence of the Run command on Windows Vista’s Start Menu. This guide shows you how to add the Run Command to Windows Vista’s Start Menu.

Enable the Run Command on the Start Menu

  1. Right-click the Start button and then select Properties.
  2. Click Customize next to Start Menu.
  3. Scroll down about ¾ of the way down the list of properties and check off Run Command to enable it.

Run Command Keyboard Shortcut

Many people don’t know that instead of using the Run Command from the Start Menu you can simply press Windows Key + R on your keyboard to start the Run Command.
